The purpose of the Beechmont State School Library Resource Centre and its facilities is to:

• Encourage and enrich student's reading for pleasure and to develop an appreciation of literature.

• Provide students with information literacy and technology skills that enhance lifelong learning.
• Provide quality resources that are easily accessible for the enjoyment of students and for use in the implementation of teaching programs.
• Establish and promote good relationships between all school community members - students, parents, and the wider community.
