The primary industry on Beechmont is still dairy farming, but the community make-up has diversified as people seeking a more relaxed lifestyle, or a 'sea-change' move onto the mountain.

The Beechmont Plateau is a drawcard for tourists.  Many undertake bushwalks in Lamington National Park, or enjoy a retreat at Binna Burra Mountain Lodge.  Whatever, the mountain is just a wonderful place to be.
