The Parents and Citizen's Association is, as the name suggests, parents and citizens, including school staff, working together with the common goal of promoting the interests of the School.
P & C meetings are usually held at the school on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.00 pm. We also schedule some meetings at Laurel Cottage Lower Beechmont, where you can order dinner & munch away while the meeting happens

The P & C is much more than an agent for fundraising. Although this is one role the P & C fulfils, to help provide the best for our children, they play an important part in the decision making process of the school. Through the P & C, parents have a great opportunity to help shape the school their children attend.
Some decisions the P & C might be involved in include:- the nutritional quality of food in tuckshops, road crossings, bus safety, human relationship education, budget, class sizes, curriculum, approval of text books, excursions. Most issues that effect the school or the children are discussed at P & C meetings.
Meetings encourage informative and lively debate, sharing of ideas, negotiation. Our meetings are actually enjoyable social outings - really! They don't go on and on and on ... If you have need a lift to a meeting, call the school and I'm sure we will be able to organise something. New members are always welcome.
